How far along? 26 weeks, 6 days.
Weight gain: Weight is about the same (on our scale) since my OB appointment two weeks ago.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I may be graduating into some of Nate's t-shirts at night since mine are getting a little snug. And...I officially can't button my lab coat at work!
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep? Still going okay...occasional bouts of insomnia.
Best moment this week? Entering the 3rd trimester today!
Food cravings/aversions? Nothing in particular. So happy it's Girl Scout cookie season as the Samoas are satisfying my sweet tooth!
Gender? Still a girl :)
Symptoms? Heartburn! And I found out I have two cavities, most likely related to reflux/heartburn. Feeling a little more achy.
What I am looking forward to? Meeting our baby girl...about 12 more weeks to go!
How far along? 24 weeks, 4 days.
Weight gain: I'm up about 21 pounds (going by the starting weight of before the OHSS set in early on)
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep? Not too bad.
Best moment this week? Reaching 24 weeks (milestone of viability).
Food cravings/aversions? Cravings vary. I really have a taste for oranges (the Cutie kind), but they haven't been that sweet.
Gender? Firl :)
Symptoms? Heartburn is still pretty much the leading symptom. Also having some sciatic pain which is more on the left side.
What I am looking forward to? Working on the nursery :) Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-9093774858882095682013-01-20T20:11:00.000-05:002013-02-13T21:47:03.220-05:0023 weeks

How far along? 23 weeks, 3 days.
Weight gain: I'm up about 19 lbs (on my scale).
Maternity clothes? Yes. I'm still able to wear pre-pregnancy jeans (yay!) with the help of the Bella Band.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep? Not too bad, lately. Usually get up once per night to pee.
Best moment this week? Learning our baby girl has a healthy heart. She's also measuring at about 1 lb, 6oz (in the 86th percentile). I graduated from my Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors!
Food cravings/aversions? Some days I prefer salty (my favorite being Wheat Thins and cheese) and other days I prefer sweets. I've been craving those Cutie oranges...so sweet and yummy!
Gender? Still a girl :)
Symptoms? Main one is heartburn which I get pretty much every day. Zantac is my best friend! It doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat, I still get it.
What I am looking forward to? Next week's OB appointment. Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-73463361818606152122013-01-02T06:32:00.001-05:002013-01-02T06:32:46.655-05:0020 Weeks

Stretch marks? None yet, but I am redeveloping that vertical line on my belly (linea nigra).
Sleep? Still get up once or twice at night to pee.
What I am looking forward to? Tomorrow's OB appointment! We should be getting a birth day soon!Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-88307211591304335242012-11-24T14:35:00.002-05:002012-11-24T14:39:21.123-05:0015 WeeksCurrent pregnancy:

How far along? 15 weeks 2 days
Weight gain: Maybe about 8lbs since the start of our IVF cycle. It's so hard to tell since I had a couple of pounds of bloat before retrieval and transfer because of all of the fertility meds.

Maternity clothes? Yes.
Sleep? Still get up once or twice at night to pee. Seem to toss and turn a lot after 4am. Still having lots of vivid dreams.
Movement? Not feeling as much as I did in past week or two. Still occasional.
Gender? Still leaning towards boy. :)
Symptoms? Tired, occasional heartburn.
What I am looking forward to? Next week's OB appointment. Just want to hear our baby's heartbeat again!

How far along: 13 weeks
Maternity clothes: Needing to buy some work clothes as my choices are getting limited, especially with the pants.
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby twice! The first time was at our Maternal Fetal Medicine visit. I had to meet with them for genetic screening, I'll be considered "advanced maternal age" at delivery (only by 2 weeks!), and since we went through infertility treatments (there is a slightly increased risk of heart defects). The second time was at my OB visit the following day. My OB couldn't pick up baby's heartbeat with the doppler, so they did a quick scan. Everything looked good. Baby's heart rate was nice and fast at 160. My B/P was great too, 90/60 (which is my norm).
Food craving/aversions: Salty it is! While I will eat some sweets (especially with all of the birthdays at work lately), they don't taste the same to me. I love spicy foods, but I'm very sensitive to the strength of the hotness...mild seems like medium or even hot to me.
What I am looking forward to: Feeling our baby move/kick. I think I've been feeling some movements although it's been very sporadic.
Symptoms: Just tired. And feeling very itchy. I think the itchiness is related to my stretching skin, hormones, and the dry and cooler air of fall. How far along: 12 weeks
Maternity clothes: Starting to wear the jeans and pants from my pregnancy with Evan. My bigger work pants are becoming too tight!
Best moment this week: Stopping the Prometrium (progesterone)!--which is also a milestone!
Food craving/aversions: Still craving more of the salty foods right now. I've been loving bagels with a brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese (from Target) in the morning.
What I am looking forward to: I meet with the maternal fetal medicine physician on Monday. Excited to see our little peanut again! Just hoping he/she is healthy and still doing well. Also have my first official appointment with our OB on Tuesday.
Milestones: Last week of the 1st trimester...and stopping the Prometrium!
Symptoms: Still feeling tired. Getting up 1-3 times per night to pee. Not noticing any nausea. Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-16475339433722483972012-10-27T18:06:00.001-04:002012-10-27T18:09:15.512-04:0011 WeeksHow far along: 11 weeks

Maternity clothes: I just bought some maternity skinny jeans with the belly panel, and I love them...so comfy! I won't be able to wear a lot from my pregnancy with Evan since I'm pregnant during opposite seasons.

Best moment this week: Seeing a healthy (and active) little jelly bean bouncing around when I had my ultrasound done at the ER (everything is good, just had some horrible abdominal pain).

Food craving/aversions: I feel more picky about what I have a taste for, but nothing in particular. Every day seems different. Tend to lean towards more salty than sweet stuff (although I'd never turn down a cupcake!).

What I miss: Not one thing!!!

What I am looking forward to: My upcoming appointments during the first week of November. Get to see our baby again!
Milestones: Graduating from our fertility doctor to our OB, and getting to hear our baby's heartbeat with the doppler.
Symptoms: Still very tired, especially in the afternoon and again around 8pm. Still going to bed earlier than I did pre-pregnancy. Still having very mild (and short) waves of nausea but that's becoming less frequent. Boobs still tender off/on. Overall, I feel great and I can't complain! Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-69563892159941965102012-10-27T17:40:00.003-04:002012-10-27T17:40:57.671-04:00Our family is growing!I've neglected this board long enough, and I come with good news! I'm so very happy to announce I'm pregnant! Our sweet little miracle is due in Spring 2013, and we couldn't be happier. I honestly never thought we'd make it to this point. It's been quite a journey to get here! Evan is excited to be a big brother. It's so cute to hear him talk to my belly, talk about toys he's going to share with his sibling, etc. We feel so blessed!Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-71926454673586129422011-09-01T13:46:00.003-04:002011-09-01T13:52:15.099-04:00I'm a slackerIt's been 4 months since my last post ::runs to the corner in embarrassment:: I'm finally done with grad school and am a nurse practitioner--YAY!!! I've been enjoying the past month of family time and relaxation. Hopefully, when I'm done with boards I will be on here more (although I will be working full-time by then).

Evan is growing up way too fast for me! He starts his second year of his preschool program (will have 2 more years after this year because of his October birthday) next Tuesday. He is all boy...loves tractors, trains, mowing the lawn with Daddy on the John Deere, playing outside...such an active little man!

Life has been busy chasing around our 2-year-old, preparing our house to go back on the market, and finishing up grad school.

Here is the latest pic of Evan:
We are very happy with Dr. M though! She used to be my pediatrician when we first moved to Indiana when I was in junior high. We love her! She is very thorough, informative, and kind. Evan hasn't been too thrilled with going to the doctor lately. Let's just say he was worked up so much that he puked! And the poor little guy didn't even get shots this visit.

Our 2 1/2 year visit was a little early as we wanted him to get established in the new practice in case he were to get sick (and he did end up having an ear infection this visit!)

Our "little" guy is growing!
We love Dr. B; unfortunately, we'll be switching in January because of insurance. It's not a horrible thing though...he'll be going to MY pediatrician, Dr. M. She's great! I started going to her when we first moved to Indiana when I was about 12 or so, just when she was starting off new in a pediatric practice.

Evan did received a few vaccines which he did not appreciate (who does?!).

Weight: 31 lbs (75%)
Height: 34 in (45-ish%)

Evan was freaked out by the standing scale, so we had to place him on the baby scale...silly boy!Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-17025243104765399762010-11-02T11:14:00.000-04:002010-11-02T11:14:32.992-04:00Halloween!Evan was a little monkey for Halloween this year. Found his costume at Old Navy for $10---sweet! Last year, he wanted nothing to do with his costume as he tried to rip it off. This year, there were no fights! He looked so adorable! We went to the Halloween Party at Conner Prairie on Friday, and then E and I went trick-of-treating to a few homes on our street. What fun! We'll have to get a little wagon for next year as Mommy's arms were tired after hauling around a 31-pound toddler and trick-or-treat basket...hahaha!
It was between that and Elmo, and Gabba won! We kept it simple, a small get-together with a few friends, godparents, etc., and it was perfect. Not too overwhelming for Evan. We had Jet's pizza, breadsticks, and yummy Yo Gabba Gabba cupcakes created by Sweet Ass Cupcakes. The cupcakes were too cute!
We haven't been pushing potty-training at all. He has a few board books, Elmo's Potty Time DVD, and we've just been offering his potty chair right before his bath every night. Tonight he was sitting on it, and I kind of gave him a little privacy by tidying up the bathroom sink. As I looked down at him, he was slowly starting to pee. I started to encourage and praise him, and he finished his business. I'm so proud of him! Too bad Daddy was at work and missed it, but we called him right after to share the news!Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-60855522133400616602010-09-04T22:16:00.000-04:002010-09-04T22:16:50.864-04:0022 Months Old!

Wow! This is actually an overdue post, as our little Evan is going to be 23 months old this month...and 2 YEARS OLD next month! So hard to believe! While his age can be challenging at times, Evan is so much fun...and we love him to pieces!Mary Bethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06263514083026292991noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426048959773290428.post-72624537617091779092010-07-26T21:12:00.000-04:002010-07-26T21:12:44.094-04:00He drank out of the dog bowl......like a dog. Gross. And funny! I couldn't believe it---I couldn't help but laugh when I saw him! We keep Katie's food and water bowls gated away behind our bar. Sometimes we leave the gate open for Katie when we're supervising Evan or if Evan is napping. Apparently, this mama wasn't supervising her curious toddler well enough!

Speaking of dog bowls, Evan LOVES to fill up Katie's dog food bowl. He'll scoop up her food from the bin and fill up her bowl. It may take a few dozen times, but he gets the job done. He even picks up the kernels that fall out of the scoop as he's filling up the bowl. We've been wanting to get Evan some kind of baby pool or sprinkler toy for outside, and luckily Toys 'R Us had a cute inflatable baby pool on clearance. Evan loved it! While I spent more time blowing it up with a manual air pump than I'd like in the sweltering heat, it was worth it!
