Yogurt is a hit! :)
I was kind of nervous offering yogurt to Evan as he's had some issues with formula (he's now on lactose-free formula). Thank goodness, he's been tolerating the yogurt and LOVES it! I tried the YoBaby organic yogurt by Stonyfield; it's a variety pack of vanilla and banana. His favorite is the vanilla :) Because it's cold, I think it feels great against those teething gums.

Happy Father's Day!
Evan's birth day...

and today...

We celebrated a relaxing Father's Day today. Nate had worked yesterday, so I had a nice breakfast of an cheesy egg, potato, and ham casserole and toast waiting for him when he came home. Nate enjoyed watching golf on TV, hanging out with Evan...and just relaxing. I made a dinner of manicotti and salad...and then we headed to our local downtown ice cream parlor.

Ahhhh...the joys of teething
Evan is normally a happy, laid-back baby...but today, he's been fussy from what we think is teething. It started at 2am...his cry was different than a hunger or gas cry...we could tell something was hurting him. Since waking up, he's been happy one minute and cranky the next...nothing seems to make him happy. And we've tried it all...Tylenol, Advil, Orajel, cold teething rings and washcloths, etc. Poor little guy. Hopefully, this tooth (or teeth) pops out soon...there is a little raised area on the right part of his lower gum with a little white underneath.
Will keep you updated :)

Mum-Mums are yummy :)
I've heard so many raves about how babies love Mum-Mums...and I had to buy them for Evan when I saw them at Walmart. He LOVES them...even more so than Puffs! I like that there are only four ingredients (japonica rice, sugar, skim milk powder, and salt) in them, and (like the Puffs) dissolve easily. Not very messy either. Perfect for my toothless boy!

Evan...feeding himself :)

Evan loves Puffs!
Because baby food seems to bore Evan and he's been admiring our plates, I decided to offer puffs/cereal. It's made by Gerber and is the banana-flavored one. It eases my mind that they dissolve since I'm freaked out about him choking. The first day he just played with it...and ended up in our dogs' tummies. I'd offer it to his mouth, and he'd gum it and kind of suck on it until it "dissolved". He seemed to like it but wasn't sure how the whole feeding himself worked. A couple of days ago, he grasped it with his fingers, put it in his mouth, and started to eat it! YAY! Now when we offer him some on his tray, he goes crazy for them!
