We've been introducing more and more table foods since Evan has been on a non-fruit baby food strike. So far we've introduced noodles, mac & cheese, rice, hamburger, bananas, mashed potatoes...just to name a few. He's a smart cookie...he just spits out the baby food and wants our food. He still does like his Gerber bananas, mango, applesauce, pears, etc...but that's about it.

Yogurt is a hit! :)
I was kind of nervous offering yogurt to Evan as he's had some issues with formula (he's now on lactose-free formula). Thank goodness, he's been tolerating the yogurt and LOVES it! I tried the YoBaby organic yogurt by Stonyfield; it's a variety pack of vanilla and banana. His favorite is the vanilla :) Because it's cold, I think it feels great against those teething gums.

Bath time!
Evan LOVES bath time, especially playing with all of his fun bath toys. He is now in the "big boy" tub!
...and Daddy loves to follow bath time with a bedtime story! Reading Dr. Seuss...

Tooth update
I was finally able to get a picture...when he was crying. His first tooth cut through...lower middle right. And I think the left one is close to cutting through!

Evan...feeding himself :)
This week Evan has been taking his bottle and feeding himself. He doesn't do this all of the time, but when he does, he's pretty good at it :) A little messy sometimes if he misses his mouth.

Evan loves Puffs!
Because baby food seems to bore Evan and he's been admiring our plates, I decided to offer puffs/cereal. It's made by Gerber and is the banana-flavored one. It eases my mind that they dissolve since I'm freaked out about him choking. The first day he just played with it...and ended up in our dogs' tummies. I'd offer it to his mouth, and he'd gum it and kind of suck on it until it "dissolved". He seemed to like it but wasn't sure how the whole feeding himself worked. A couple of days ago, he grasped it with his fingers, put it in his mouth, and started to eat it! YAY! Now when we offer him some on his tray, he goes crazy for them!

Evan's first ear infection :(
Evan was not eating well Monday and Tuesday...refusing his baby food and not finishing his bottles. On Wednesday, he was still not eating great. I had worked Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and Nate told me Evan slept horribly Wednesday night. And yesterday morning while I was sleeping from working the night before, Evan had only taken 6 ounces from 5am to 1pm. I decided it was time to call the doctor...this was more than teething. My intuition was right...Evan had "sinusitis" and a left ear infection. Poor little guy! No wonder why he didn't want to eat and wasn't sleeping well. He's on a 10-day course of antibiotics, and he will have a follow-up appointment in two weeks to make sure the ear infection has cleared.
Update: Evan is feeling much better! He's back to sleeping through (most of) the night, and his appetite is back :)

Puking episodes :(
Evan had his third incident of puking on Mother's Day. I'm beginning to think this is more than just a stomach bug. It just doesn't seem right to me. This whole thing started about 2 weeks after we introduced formula into his diet as a supplement to nursing. There are 11-12 days in-between each episode, and it starts in the evening around 7-8pm, right before bedtime. He usually has three very large projectile episodes within a 1-2 hour time period. By "very large", I'm talking everything he has eaten from the afternoon through the evening feeding. It's happened when I've nursed him, when Nate's fed him bottles while I'm at work, etc.
Pediatrician appointment: Dr. H wasn't in, but Dr. R saw him today. He, too, was stumped with these episodes. I'm happy he didn't just call it a virus; rather, he suggested we switch to a lactose-free formula. I'm happy things are being ruled out rather than ignored. He mentioned if this happens again, in the same cyclic pattern, we'll be referred to a GI doctor.
Poor little Evan! :(
